Learning Objectives
HTML 2 WordPress teaches web designers and front-end developers, with no prior experience on CMSs, how to set up WP, to convert an HTML site into a basic WP theme and to add simple customization into their themes. Using a hands-on approach, learners will be able to:
- Set up a mySQL database for WP and install WP
- Make their WP site secure
- Break apart HTML files and modify WP header, sidebar, containers, footer and comments form templates
- Install plug-ins to enhance the site’ viewing experience
- Insert short code snippets to add extra features into their WP template
